Greg the handyman

Because Kayla really loves books and has seemingly millions of them, (do they multiply while we're asleep? They have taken over our living room!) I've spent the past few months looking for a nice bookcase for her. There's one at her school where you place the books front-ways so the kids can easily see which book they want to read. I was looking for one like this for Kayla but they were all insanely expensive.

Enter Greg - he volunteered to make the bookcase exactly how I envisioned. From buying the wood from Lowe's, to cutting, sanding, and building everything himself, to painting the finished product, it was a project all his own! I am thrilled with the final result, as is Kayla. She picks several books out every day to read. I'm thinking this little bookcase will stay in our family and be useful for a long, long time.

That is just the cutest thing Lis! WOW - what a handyman. That's really a wonderful trait in a man - hehe. (My dad is super handy and Mike is not. In fact, I'm more than he is. I guess I'LL be the handyman between us!)
